Who We Are

Stan Berman PLLC is a boutique energy law firm, representing and advising electric utilities and others in the electric industry.  We are a small firm but have deep experience with the largest projects,  including extensive experience with multi-billion dollar energy disputes.  We focus primarily on advice to and representation of electric industry participants concerning FERC and state regulatory commissions, and concerning electric transmission, electric markets, rate issues, interconnection issues, energy mergers and acquisitions, and enforcement and reliability.   
 

We bring decades of deep industry knowledge, and extensive trial and appellate experience to bear.  Stan Berman worked at FERC on the development of Order No. 888, and he then led FERC's Electric Trial Staff as it implemented those new rules around the United States. Since 1999 he has been working in Seattle, providing advice on and litigating the highest profile electric market issues.
